BLADENBORO – West Bladen defeated East Bladen 8-1 Monday in Southeastern Athletic Conference girls’ tennis action.

East Bladen’s Jayden Willington tallied the Lady Eagle point in a tiebreaker battle with West’s Courtney Hester at No. 2 singles. West Bladen freshman Kiera Lewis edged East’s McKenzie Williams in another match that went to a tiebreaker.

“Great win for the Lady Knights against county rival East Bladen,” said Lady Knight Coach Bill Bryant.

The Lady Knights improved to 4-2 in league play and 6-3 overall and will travel to Fairmont Thursday. East Bladen, now 4-3 in SAC play and 4-4 overall, will host Fairmont Tuesday in doubleheader matches.
