Freshman Alina Chavez drilled in a 16-footer and sank a free throw for the Lady Knights. Senior Anasia Baxley turned an assist from junior Makayla Wright into a basket and drained a pair of 1st half free throws.

Wright and junior Lainey Autry grabbed 5 rebounds each for West Bladen. Sophomore Kiera Lewis pulled down 4 rebounds.

“The girls did their best,” said Lady Knight Coach Brian McCleney. “You can’t fault their effort even though they were a bit overmatched against one of the best teams in the eastern part of the state. We just have to strive to keep working hard and try to reach their level.”

West Bladen, now 7-6, will travel to Midway Friday night.
