BLADENBORO- St. Pauls defeated West Bladen 33-22 Wednesday in Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee boys basketball action.

The Bulldogs grabbed an early 9-2 lead, but Cornelius Esters tossed in 2 baskets and a free throw in the 2nd quarter that rallied the Knights to within 13-9 at halftime.

Andre Moore fired in a 3-point shot and another basket for the Knights in the 3rd quarter, but the St. Pauls lead grew to 22-14. West’s Kelsey Robinson buried a 3-point shot in the final period, and Walker Barkley sank 3 free throws.

Moore topped the Knight scoring with 7 points, and Esters finished with 5 points. M. Smith led the Bulldogs with 8 points, and T. Setzer followed with 7 points. M. Fletcher added 6 points.

The Knight jayvees will travel to Midway Friday.
