BLADENBORO – Nyadarion Blackwell and Walker Spell sparked a 17-5 2nd quarter run that carried Clinton to a 39-26 jayvee boys basketball victory over West Bladen Tuesday.
Blackwell threw in 6 of his game-high 12 points as the Dark Horses built a 20-11 halftime lead. Spell tossed in 6 of his 7 points in the period for Clinton.
Kelsey Robinson and Andre Moore drained 3-point shots in the opening quarter as the Knights grabbed an early 6-3 lead. Moore topped the West scoring list with 8 points, and Robinson finished with 5 points. Teammates Cade Allen and Conner Monroe scored 4 points each.
The Knight jayvees will host East Bladen Monday.
