CLARKTON – Tabor City outlasted Clarkton School of Discovery 24-20 Wednesday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball action.
“We walked in about 11 runs in the first inning and that put us in a deep hole,” said Clarkton Coach Savanna Elkins. “We came back there at the end but just couldn’t capitalize.”
Brenna Hester walloped a pair of triples to lead the Lady Blue Devil hitters. Teammate Shania Thurman belted a single.
Clarkton will entertain Nakina Monday at 4 p.m.
