TABOR CITY – South Columbus defeated West Bladen 3-0 Wednesday night in non-conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-19, 25-14 and 25-16.
West junior Trinity Meares knocked in 2 kills, 4 blocks, 2 service points, 1 ace and had 1 assist. Junior Jenna McLean fired in 6 service points and had 3 assists. Senior Emily Young spanked in 4 kills, 2 service points and was credited with 3 digs and 1 assist.
Senior Kylie Durden sparked the Lady Knight defense with 6 digs and had 1 service point. Senior Whitney McLean drilled in 3 kills, 2 aces, 1 service point and had 1 assist. Senior Kaitlyn Brisson dropped in 2 blocks.
Junior Maddie Walters slammed in 3 kills, 4 service points and had 1 dig. Sophomore Marlene Crabtree smacked in 1 kill.
The Lady Knights will open Southeastern Athletic Conference play Thursday at Clinton.
