BLADENBORO – Three different players scored goals as West Bladen defeated East Bladen 3-0 Wednesday in junior varsity boys’ soccer action.
Sophomore Aiden Russ banged in a goal and delivered 1 assist. Freshmen Jonah Bryan and Jonathan Ortiz-Hernandez knocked in 1 goal each. Freshman Dylan Hernandez recorded the shutout in goal for the Knights and was credited with 4 saves.
It is the first year that West Bladen has fielded a jayvee team, and Coach Kristen Parker’s Knights raised their record to 3-1. West Bladen will host Red Springs on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
East Bladen (0-2) will host Pender on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
