Mount Olive University golfer Cade Hancock recently completed his regular season spring golf schedule. Hancock played in four college tournaments and never shot out of the 70s.

Hancock played his high school golf at Harrells Christian Academy. He is the son of Jim and Polly Hancock of Elizabethtown.

In the Spring Bulldog Clash, held at Caladonia Golf Course on February 27-28, Hancock had rounds of 72-73-76=221 and tied for 52nd place. Mount Olive University’s golf team came in 12th of 16 teams.

In the Laker Spring Intercollegiate played at Foxfire Golf Course on March 10-12, Hancock shot 74-79=153 to tie for 6th place. Mount Olive came in 2nd of 9 teams.

Hancock continued his good play by shooting 75-77-74=226 to tie for 16th place in the Barton Intercollegiate Tournament on March 13-14. Mount Olive came in 4th of 12 teams.

Hancock had his best finish as he came in fifth place in The Trojan Tournament held at Walnut Creek Country Club on March 27-28. He led Mount Olive University to first place as he shot 74-71-71=216.

Mount Olive University will participate in the Conference Carolinas Championship to be held in Spartanburg, S.C. on April 23-25.

According to Jim Hancock, Cade is a senior with one year of golf eligibility left.
