PEMBROKE – West Bladen grad Conner Brisson knocked in a key run Friday as her UNC Pembroke Lady Braves swept North Greenville 11-10 in 8 innings and 3-0 in a softball doubleheader.

Brisson walked and scored ahead of Samantha Allred’s 3-run homer that tied the opener 4-4 in the 3rd inning. The Dublin native then laced a single that drove in Kadence Sheppard with the go-ahead run in the 4th inning.

Earlier in the week Brisson walloped a 3-run home run – her 1st of the season – at Erskine but the Flying Fleet pulled away for a 14-6 victory.

The Lady Braves are currently on a 4-game winning streak and are 7-5 in Conference Carolinas play and 14-21 overall. UNC Pembroke returns to action Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Wingate.
