Clinton defeated East Bladen 2-0 Thursday in Four County Conference jayvee volleyball action at East by game scores of 26-24 and 25-15.
Freshman Ashley Hardin filled up the stat sheet for the Lady Eagles with 5 kills, 4 assists, 3 service points and an ace. Sophomore Kaley Smith topped the East servers with 8 service points and an ace and added 2 assists and a kill.
Alexa Hernandez slammed in 3 kills, 2 aces and 4 service points for East, and Shardajah Brown hammered in 3 kills.
Jozee Strickland tallied 2 service points, a block and a dig for East Bladen. Teammate Bethany Lesane smacked in a pair of kills and a service point, and Dyasia McDowell added one service point.
The Lady Eagle jayvees are now 6-9 on the season and will visit Pender Tuesday at 4:30.
