LUMBERTON – Allison Hickman pitched a 2-hitter and struck out 11 batters to lead Bladenboro to a 5-2 victory over Lumberton Monday night in Dixie Belles softball action.

Bladenboro improved to 10-0 on the season and will travel to Lumberton Tuesday night for a 7:30 game.

Hickman walked to start the game, stole a base then moved to 3rd base when Brenna Hester belted a single. Hickman then stole home with the game’s 1st run.

Haili Andrews reached on an error in the Bladenboro 3rd inning, and Hickman knocked her in with a double to right field. Maycee Kinlaw walked, and Hester pounded a triple to right field that scored Hickman and Kinlaw and stretched the lead to 4-0.

Adyson Carroll drilled a double to left in the Bladenboro 4th inning, stole 3rd base and scored on Chloe Walters’ fielder’s choice.

A walk and a double produced a Lumberton run in the 4th inning. Another walk, a single and an error resulted in a pair of Lumberton runs in the 5th inning.

Hester batted 2-for-2 with a triple and 2 runs batted in to lead the winners at the plate. Carroll doubled and scored a run. Hickman doubled, had 1 RBI and scored twice. Hadley Dove and Alyssia Singletary smacked a single each. Andrews and Kinlaw scored 1 run each, and Chloe Walters had 1 RBI.
