East Bladen’s Lady Eagles remain atop the latest NCPreps.com Class 2A Women’s State Basketball poll that was released Tuesday.
Coach Patty Evers’ Lady Eagles improved to 17-0 overall Tuesday night with their victory at West Bladen. Four County Conference rival Clinton (14-3) cracked the Class 2A poll at No. 10.
Kinston (12-1), the team that eliminated East Bladen from the state play-offs last season, is ranked No. 7 in this week’s poll.
In the boys rankings Fairmont (11-0) occupies the No. 7 spot in the Class 2A poll. Four County Conference leader Heide Trask (14-1) is No. 8 in the Class 1A poll, and Wallace-Rose Hill (8-2) received Honorable Mention.
