DUBLIN – Sophomore Chasitty Lacy and freshmen Kasee Singletary and Lexie Corrothers combined for 42 points to lead West Bladen’s jayvee girls to a 54-11 basketball victory over Pender Wednesday.
Lacy and Corrothers threw in 3 baskets each in the first quarter as the Lady Knights raced to a 22-4 lead. Singletary sank 4 free throws and added a basket in the period.
Corrothers tossed in 2 baskets, and Singletary bombed in a 3-point shot in the second quarter. Lacy, Anna Moser and Kwashera Chapman scored one basket each as the West Bladen lead grew to 35-8 at halftime.
Lacy netted 2 baskets and a free throw in the third quarter as the lead stretched to 45-11. Corrothers and Singletary pumped in a basket each, and Corrothers made a free throw.
Lacy topped the West Bladen scoring with 15 points. Singletary racked up 14 points, and Corrothers finished with 13 points. Chapman added 7 points.
It was the conference opener for Coach Joe Lewis’ unbeaten Lady Knights who are 7-0 overall. West Bladen will host Clinton Friday.
