Clarkton native and UNCW golfer Kayla Thompson shot 75-75-75=226 to finish 23rd in the River Landing Classic played this past week in Wallace.
Eleven college lady golf teams participated in this three day event. The UNCW team finished 4th in the tourney with a score of 27 over par. Penn State took the title with a score of 14 over par.
Kayla, a junior at UNCW, will play in the LSU Tiger Classic on March 24-25-26 in Baton Rogue, Louisiana.
