East Bladen senior Kyle Tatum has been named the Four County Conference Baseball Player of the Year.

A 4-year starter at catcher, Tatum batted .625 as he led the Eagles to an 11-3 conference record that tied West Bladen for second-place in the league one game behind Midway.

Tatum slugged 8 doubles, 2 triples and a home run, scored 33 runs and drove in 34 runs to key the East Bladen offense.

A little over a week ago Tatum signed with Brunswick Community College and will continue his baseball career with the Dolphins next season.

“Kyle has been the backbone of our team,” said East Bladen Coach Russell Priest. I think he is going to do great things – both on-and-off the field.”
