The members of Whiteville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority performed a day of service in the Bladen County area at St. John AME Zion Church. The day of service consisted of a spaghetti lunch and distribution of a wellness kit which consisted of hand sanitizer, hand wipes, hand cream, and N95 masks. The day of service was in memory of the sorority’s 22 founders who established the organization on January 13, 1913, at Howard University.  The sorority celebrated 109 years of service on January 13th, and chapters like Whiteville Alumnae are continuing to live the legacy. The organization was founded on scholarship, public service, sisterhood, and social action.  Whiteville Alumnae Chapter serves Bladen County and Columbus county under the leadership of their president Trina Gause Davis.
