A Shelter Friend Offers a Pet Food Bank in Bladen County

A Shelter Friend, a local non-profit dedicated to Bladen County pets, wants to reach out to the residents to help keep their pet(s) fed during this challenging time. Today, Syliva Kim, with A Shelter Friend, announced they would hold a free Pet Food Distribution event on Wednesday, May 20th from noon (12 p.m.) until 2:00 p.m. for pet owners in need due to COVID-19.

The distribution will be held at the Paul H. Sessoms Warehouse located at 108 S Cypress Street in Elizabethtown. 

The organizers stated, “We are happy to help all fur babies in need, but if you are not in need, please save the food for those that are hurting.”

Safety precautions are being made. Kim asked pet owners planning to participate in the event, “Please stay in your car and PLEASE WEAR MASK OR FACE COVERING AS WE WILL ALL BE WEARING OURS to protect you and our volunteers.”
