BLADENBORO – Senior Brookee’ Singletary and juniors Anna Campbell and O’Mara McDonald fired in 1st half goals as West Bladen built a 3-0 lead enroute to a 3-1 Southeastern Athletic Conference girls’ soccer victory over Red Springs Friday night.
Coach Kristen Parker’s Lady Knights raised their SAC record to 2-4-2 and their overall mark to 3-9-4.
McDonald and sophomores Faith Wren and LiLeigh Anderson dished out 1 assist each for the Lady Knights. Junior Jazmy Funez Aranda and Campbell both had 2 shots on goal for West. Senior Briana Carranza Toledo was credited with 9 saves in goal for West.
Wren led the Lady Knight defense with 8 steals. Funez Aranda followed her with 7 steals. Singletary and junior Haleigh Seabolt recorded 6 steals each. Campbell came up with 5 steals, and McDonald, sophomore Makenna Thurman and senior Shamaria Jackson had 4 steals each.
