East Bladen graduate Ashley R. Brown-Poteat will be promoting her new book ‘Out of Bounds: Pocket Guide for Victory’ Friday night at East Bladen as the Eagles host West Bladen on the basketball court.
Brown-Poteat is a licensed therapist in behavioral health and addictions, and founder of A Sure Foundation, PLLC. She earned her Masters degree in Social Work from North Carolina Central University and Bachelors Degrees in Psychology and Afro-American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
A former East Bladen athlete, Brown-Poteat is determined to ensure that individuals, no matter what fragment of circumstance, live in peace and restoration. Her determination led her to publish her first work that encourages individuals to tackle unhealthy mindsets and strive towards living vibrant and victorious lives.
Brown-Poteat is currently co-host of Yellow Table Talk show, which airs every Wednesday on Raleigh’s channel 22. On the show she shares practical and clinical tips about self-care. Ashley diligently seeks balance in every area of her life and encourages others to do so as well.
