DUNN – Junior John McLamb and senior Hunter Tyndall combined to pitch a 2-hit shutout and strikeout 8 batters as they led Midway to a 6-0 Southeastern Athletic Conference baseball victory over West Bladen Tuesday night.

McLamb pitched the 1st 5 innings and allowed a hit and a walk while striking out 6. Tyndall worked 2 innings of relief and also gave up a hit and a walk while striking out 2.

Junior Jordan Hester lined singles to left in the 4th and 7th innings for the only West Bladen hits.

Singles by Wyatt Richards and Carson Tew, 3 Knight errors and 2 hit batters produced 5 Raider runs in the 2nd inning. Tyndall singled and scored the final Midway run on a passed ball in the 6th inning.

McLamb doubled twice and drove in 2 runs to lead the Midway hitters. Tyndall singled and scored twice.

Knight senior Garrison Carr started and pitched 1.1 innings allowing 5 unearned runs on 3 hits and 3 hit batters. Sophomore Cade Allen worked 2.2 innings of scoreless relief allowing 1 hit and striking out 2.

Sophomore Garrett Dunham pitched 1.1 innings and gave up an unearned run on a hit and 2 walks while striking out 2. Sophomore Brady Durden struck out the only 2 batters that he faced in the 6th inning.

Midway improves to 10-1 in league play and 19-2 overall and will travel to West Bladen Friday night. The Knights, now 5-5 in the SAC-7 and 12-7 overall, will host St. Pauls Thursday for their Senior Night.
