A benefit for Roy Tickle will be held on Saturday, June 11th. Mr. Tickle, a Bladen County native, suffered of a blood clot-induced stroke and aneurysm rupture on January 18, 2022, at the age of 36. The benefit ride was created to assist in medical expenses incurred in January 2022.

Registration for the bike ride will run from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., with kickstands being set up at 11 a.m. Single riders will receive a meal for $25, while double riders will receive a meal for $30. Individual BBQ plates will be sold as part of the event if participants are unable to participate in the bike rides. Baked beans, slaw, bread, dessert, and a drink will be included in the $8 plate.

A 50/50 drawing and an auction will be held as part of the benefit. During this difficult time, the funds raised will assist the family with medical bills and other needs. Come out to support this fundraiser and keep the family in your prayers. Christie Merritt can be reached at 910-874-6720 for additional information.
