DUBLIN – Tiffiany Britt, a BCC student in Welding Technology, is a silver medalist in the National Skills USA Competition held in Louisville, Kentucky in June. Britt competed in the Job Skills Demonstration, where her second place win showcased the skill of thermoplastic welding.

Edward Dent, director of the Welding Technology program remarked, “Tiffany has put in many hours of planning, preparing, practicing and producing in order to elevate herself to second place in the nation. Tiffany held it together to come out a nationally recognized winner for herself, Bladen Community College and the state of North Carolina.”

Britt won the recognition in the largest competitive area of the event, performing against 25 others who represented states from across the country. North Carolina placed third in overall awards in the nation.
