OPENINGS:
SR 1710 (Elkton Road)
SR 1710 (Elkton Road) will open late this afternoon.
EXISTING CLOSINGS:
SR 1336 (Owen Hill Road)
SR 1336 (Owen Hill Road) remains closed due to construction of a double line of cast in place reinforced concrete box culvert. Construction is well underway, but it will be a few weeks before work is complete.
SR 1504 (Davis Road)
SR 1504 (Davis Road) is closed in order to replace a large crossline pipe damaged during the hurricane. The location of the closure is 0.16 miles west of NC 210. THE ROAD WILL OPEN LATE TOMORROW AFTERNOON.
UPCOMING CLOSINGS:
SR 1143 (Britt Road)
Beginning Monday morning (4/17/17), we plan to close Britt Road at a location 0.30 miles west of US 701 in order to replace a crossline pipe damaged during the hurricane. The work should be complete by Thursday afternoon of next week. NOTE: This project had to be postponed due to material delay.
NC 210 East
Beginning Tuesday morning (4/18/17), we plan to close NC 210 East at a location 0.3 miles southeast of SR 1548 (Brown Road). The work should be complete on Thursday of next week. There will be a (long) signed detour in place to use Beatty’s Bridge Road and NC 11 through Pender County to detour around the work area.
ELWELL FERRY:
Elwell Ferry IS operating.
