Bladen County firefighters came together to train for a possible farm emergency. In this training session firefighters learned how to safely extricate a person trapped in a blueberry harvester.
These simulated training sessions help firefighters to learn valuable skills in the event of an incident involving someone trapped in a piece of equipment.
Taking part in the class were members of the Bay Tree Lakes, White Lake, Kelly, Rowan, Atkinson, and Bladen County EMS and Bladen County Emergency Management. The class was held at Rowan Fire Department and was taught by Asst. Chief Brandon Norris of Kelly.
