Bladen County Schools recently had two reasons to celebrate as they announced the winners of the 2022-2023 Regional Career and Technical Education (CTE) awards for the Sandhills Region. Mrs. Bridgette White and Ms. Dana Melvin were recognized for their outstanding contributions to CTE in the school district, marking a significant achievement in the field of education.

Mrs. Bridgette White: Regional CTE Curriculum and Instructional Management (CIMC) of the Year

Mrs. Bridgette White, an esteemed member of the Bladen County Schools team, received the prestigious title of the 2022-2023 Regional CTE Curriculum and Instructional Management (CIMC) of the Year for the Sandhills Region. This accolade highlights her dedication and commitment to advancing Career and Technical Education in the region.

The award ceremony, attended by various education professionals, featured Mrs. White alongside Trey Michael, the State CTE Director, and Suzanne Lujan, the Sandhills Region CTE Coordinator. Mrs. White’s achievement serves as a testament to her relentless pursuit of excellence in curriculum and instructional management.

Ms. Dana Melvin: Regional CTE Director of the Year

Another outstanding member of the Bladen County Schools team, Ms. Dana Melvin, was named the 2022-2023 Regional Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director of the Year for the Sandhills Region. This recognition underscores her significant contributions to the advancement of CTE in Bladen County Schools.

Dr. Jason Atkinson, Superintendent of Bladen County Schools, expressed his gratitude for having Ms. Melvin as the CTE Director, emphasizing her innate leadership abilities.
