According to Brandon Smith, an Accounting Technician with the County of Bladen, all convenience sites will be open on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, following their regular schedule of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. This means you can dispose of your household waste and recyclables as usual at these locations.

However, it’s essential to note that the Transfer Station will be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in observance of the holiday. Therefore, if you typically use the Transfer Station for your waste disposal needs, please plan accordingly.

The good news is that normal operations will resume on Tuesday, January 16th, so you won’t experience any interruptions in your waste disposal routine beyond Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
