The Semper Fidelis All-American Program recently announced Alyssa Bell, a junior at West Bladen High School as a 2019 Semper Fidelis All-American due to her successes.

Sgt. Rubio with the Semper Fidelis All-American Program said the officials were impressed with Bell’s fighting spirit and how she has overcome so much to get where she is today during his congratulations call.

Bell is awarded an all-expenses paid trip to attend the four-day Battles Won Academy, held in Washington D.C. in July 2019 for being selected. There she will participate in daily workouts, an immersive Marine Corps experience on base in Quantico, a community service event, team building outings, and a tour of our Nation’s Capital.

Bell will also have the opportunity to network with an elite circle of speakers from all walks of life and various industries who will share their inspiring stories of fighting and winning battles in their own lives according to the program.

Each All-American is be given the opportunity to invite a mentor of their choosing from their school, sports team or a community organization to attend the event alongside them. The mentor Bell selected is Mrs. Tammy Hatchell.

Hatchell is a family friend, youth leader at Dublin First Baptist Church, a fourth grade teacher at Elizabethtown Primary and the mother of a new Marine.

Bell is the sixteen year old daughter of Scott and Mary Bell of Dublin NC. Not only is Bell a West Bladen High School student, but she is also enrolled at Bladen Community College.
