The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office is hosting Specialized In-Service Training for the Troop B members of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. With logistical support from Bladen Community College, the Bladen County Emergency Services Training Center at White Lake is bringing nearly 250 Troopers into Bladen County for this seven day training event, said Bladen County Sheriff’s Sgt. Gary Turlington.

The training consists of two classes per day. The purpose of the Bladen County Emergency Services Training Center is to advance and support the education and practical exercise drills required to train and certify the region’s First Responders.

“Bladen County Sheriff Jim McVicker supports allied agency training in every aspect, as it vastly improves inter-agency relationships and communication to better and more efficiently serve the citizens of our county and region,” said Turlington.
