Senior Beta and Junior Beta Clubs of North Carolina held their annual convention last weekend to showcase the talent, leadership and teamwork each club has among their students. Both events were held in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Bladen County was well represented at both the high school and junior high school conventions.  East Bladen High School, West Bladen High School and Harrells Christian Academy all had high school students competing in the Senior Beta Club Convention competitions.

At the Junior Beta Club level there were eight schools with Bladen County students competing. Bladenboro Middle School, Clarkton School of Discover, Columbus Charter Middle School, East Arcadia School, Elizabethtown Middle School, Elizabethtown Christian Academy, Harrells Christian Academy, and Tar Heel Middle School all had delegates attending the convention.

Many students from Bladen County won awards and placed high enough to be invited to the National Beta Club Conventions. The Senior Beta Club Convention will be held June 29 through July 2, 2017 and the Junior Beta Club Convention will be held June 25 through 28, 2017. Both the conventions will be held at Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort in Orlando FL.
