There are four blood drives scheduled in Bladen County over the next two weeks. Two are for Cape Fear Valley Blood Donor Center in Fayetteville and one each for The Blood Connection and American Red Cross.
Bladen County Hospital is part of the Cape Fear Valley Health System. The Blood Connection has centers in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia and partners with region hospitals. American Red Cross volunteers and staff provide vital services, including collecting blood from donors, for relief and support to those in crisis.
You can donate a pint of blood every 56 days and up to six times per year, must be in good health and feeling well, must be at least 16 years old and must weigh at least 110 pounds.
