PEMBROKE – Purnell Swett scored 4 1st half goals and defeated West Bladen 4-1 Monday night in non-conference boys’ soccer action.

Junior Kevyn De La Cruz Labra blasted in a penalty kick in the 1st half for the only Knight goal. De La Cruz Labra had 3 shots on goal to lead the Knight attack. Senior teammate Darwin Garcia also had a shot on goal.

Juniors Bryant Ortiz-Aguilar and Christopher Ramirez Labra and freshman Alejandro Lopez Sandoval sparked the West defense with 4 steals each. Junior Aiden Russ and senior Daniel Gustafson had 3 steals each.

Senior Oswaldo Gonzalez-Lopez and junior Cade Allen split time in goal for West. Allen was credited with 4 saves, and Gonzalez-Lopez had 3 saves.

The Knights, now 1-2, will host North Brunswick Tuesday night.
