NEW YORK – West Bladen grad Brandon Council signed with the New York Jets Sunday as an undrafted free agent. Council will now be competing to make the Jets 53-man roster and help provide protection for new Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Council displayed tremendous versatility during his college football playing career at Auburn and before that at Akron. He played all 5 offensive line positions at both schools and was named Auburn’s 2022 Offensive Lineman of the Year.

The Jets have Organized Team Activity workouts (OTA’s) scheduled for May 22-23, May 25, May 30-31, June 2, June 5-6, and June 8-9. The Jets will wrap up their offseason schedule by hosting their 3-day mandatory minicamp on June 13-15.

NFL teams are allowed to have 90 players on their offseason/training camp roster. That number will be trimmed to 85 on Aug. 16, 80 on Aug 23 and eventually down to the 53-man roster on Aug. 30.
