We celebrate the life of Carolyn Rose Butler, beloved family matriarch, who for many decades called Dublin home. Carolyn peacefully departed this world on Tuesday April 9, 2024.
She was the heart and soul of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Lee Butler, and daughter, Jennifer Powell.
Born on February 7, 1943, in Robeson County to Frank and Pearl Allen, Carolyn dedicated her life to nurturing and building a strong, loving family. Her bold spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Carolyn’s smile lifted everyone around her. Her lifelong commitment to taking care of others was an irreplaceable asset to our family and her community.
Carolyn’s legacy is woven with love, strong values, and a family forever bound by the strength she instilled in them.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Butler; daughters, Leanne Butler and Elaine Hoover; and a long list of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at Love Grove Baptist Church located at 50 Main St, Tar Heel, NC 28392 on Sunday April 14, 2024, visitation from 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM with service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the church in Carolyn’s honor. As we navigate this profound loss, we find comfort knowing that Carolyn’s unconquerable spirit lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.
