The Southeastern Carolina Crossroads is set to host its First Annual Gala on April 18, 2024, at the scenic Cape Fear Vineyard & Winery in Elizabethtown, NC. This premier event, illuminated by the spirit of 1 Corinthians 10:13, promises an evening of hope and support, dedicated to those overcoming addiction. With the alarming statistics of drug and alcohol abuse, particularly in the surrounding counties of Bladen, Robeson, Cumberland, Columbus, and Sampson, the Gala serves as a crucial fundraiser to sustain the services provided by Southeastern Carolina Crossroads.
Offering comprehensive treatment in a supportive environment, the organization currently aids numerous individuals in their journey to recovery, relying solely on donations and sponsorships. The Gala Committee, consisting of those with personal ties to the addiction crisis, emphasizes the need for community involvement. With the stark reminder that approximately 130 people die from opioid overdoses daily, the Gala stands as a testament to the collective efforts needed to save lives and support those struggling with addiction.
