PEMBROKE- West Bladen grad and current UNC-Pembroke softball player Conner Brisson has been named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division II Academic All-District team.

Brisson will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. The Academic All-America team will be announced on June 6th.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale at their current institution. Nominated student-athletes must have participated in at least 50 per cent of their team’s games at the position listed on the nomination form.

Brisson started in 45 of UNC-Pembroke’s 51 games and maintained a 3.61 cumulative GPA as an undergraduate student. She currently registers a 3.83 GPA in the Masters of Physical Education program.

On the field the Dublin native smacked 19 hits, scored 14 runs, stole 5 bases, drove in 9 runs and slugged 2 home runs and a double.
