WHITEVILLE – Riegelwood defeated Bladen County 14-0 Saturday in the opening round of the Dixie Youth Baseball District 2 AA (Coach-Pitch) Tournament.
Riegelwood scored four runs in the first, second and fourth innings en route to the win. “Their defense was very impressive,” said Bladen County Coach A.J. Bordeaux.
Dalton Ammons, Aidan Thompson, Brooks Carroll and Tyler Thurman connected for one hit each for Bladen County.
Bladen County will play Columbus County at 6 p.m. Sunday in an elimination game.
