CLARKTON –Whiteville scored 4 runs in both the 2nd and 4th innings and defeated Elizabethtown 10-0 Sunday night in the Dixie Youth Baseball District 2 Majors Supplemental Tournament.
Elizabethtown will play Bladen County in an elimination game Monday at 7 p.m.
Damion Maynor beat out an infield hit in the 2nd inning, and Jordan Babson drilled a single to rightfield in the 4th inning for the Elizabethtown hits.
Khalil Moore, Hayes Clifton and Daveon Whittington shared the pitching duties for Elizabethtown and allowed only 3 hits in the game but were plagued by 12 walks. Six of the walked batters scored.
