East Bladen’s baseball and softball teams will both play their 2nd round Class 1A state playoff games on the road Friday night and both of those games will start at 6 p.m.
Coach Grant Pait’s Eagles, 13-11 and the No. 10 baseball seed in the 1A East, will play No. 7 seed Roxboro Community School (13-3) at Optimist Park which is located at 627 Patterson Drive in Roxboro.
East Bladen defeated Tarboro 10-0 in their opening round game, while Roxboro Community edged Chatham Central 3-2. Admission is $7 cash. There is a QR code that is available at East Bladen High, but cash is easier.
Coach Alan West’s Lady Eagles, 9-10 and the No. 21 softball seed, will play at No. 5 seed Perquimans High (19-8) in Hertford. Admission is $7 cash only.
East Bladen defeated Weldon 15-0 in their opening round game, and Perquimans defeated East Wake Academy 15-0 in their 1st round game.
