A Staff Report

East Bladen High School (EBHS) has achieved remarkable success over the past two years, solidifying its position in the top 5% of schools in North Carolina and elevating its rating from a “C” to a “B.” With a student body exceeding 550, East Bladen High School has been continuously improving.

The new achievements can be credited to Principal Georgia Spaulding’s exemplary leadership, the genuine care among staff members for both each other and the students, and the nurturing environment that allows students to flourish in their educational journey.

Principal Georgia Spaulding attributes this remarkable progress to a dedicated, hardworking teaching staff. She emphasizes their commitment to academic excellence and understanding each student’s background and family dynamics to provide holistic support. “Our staff members are dedicated to learning and implementing the new standards,” says Spaulding, highlighting the school’s accreditation by the Cognia Accreditation firm.

A survey reveals that East Bladen High School is recognized as welcoming, respectful, safe, warm, and inspiring. According to Spaulding, the school excels in leadership for learning and fosters a learning culture.
