The Elizabethtown Coach Pitch All Star team plays West Robeson American for the District 9 championship tonight at 6 p.m. in Lumberton at the new Northeast Park. Northeast Park is located at 500 Hornet Road in Lumberton (if you enter Lumberton from NC Hwy 41 take the first right past the Food Lion, the park is around the next curve).
With last night’s win over Lumberton National, the Elizabethtown team qualified for the North Carolina State Coach-Pitch tournament to be held July 2-5th in Tabor City, NC. The Coach-Pitch State tournament berth is a first for Elizabethtown Dixie Youth Baseball since the league began in 2002. The winner of the Coach-Pitch State Tournament advances to the DYB Coach-Pitch World Series in Laurel, Mississippi.
Elizabethtown Coach Kyle Bostic said, “Community support has been great for the first 4 games (in the district) and much appreciated! Come out tonight at 6 p.m. and support the youth in our community.”
