If you were driving by the Elizabethtown Fire Department recently, you may have noticed the addition of trailer alongside the fire station. The firefighters are collecting aluminum cans and selling them to raise funds for the NC Firefighters Burned Children’s Fund.
You can drop your aluminum cans off in the trailer and they will taken to a recycler to be sold and the money raised will be contributed to the fund. The fund was created to aid the recovery of burn victims and to support educational programming that is designed to reduce or to prevent burn injuries, according to the website.
