The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) released an update for Bladen County roads on Monday morning. According to Faye Boyne with NCDOT, the Elwell Ferry opened at 7:30 am.

SR1151 (Old Wesley’s Chapel Road
Old Wesley’s Chapel Road (SR1151) is closed for crossline replacement at near Peanut Plant SR1150. This closing is through September 1, 2023.
US Highway 701N
All traffic has been routed to the new bridge. The closure has a WIDE LOAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTION.
ELWELL FERRY
The Ferry is open as of 7:30 a.m. this morning.
