Highest wind gusts recorded at the local weather station Sunday was in the 21 mph range. Off and on rain from late Sunday thru 2 a.m. Our 24 hour total as of early Monday morning was near 3 inches, and more expected.
Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast thru Thursday night … 40 to 50% chance thru Tuesday night, increasing to 70 to 80% Wednesday thru Thursday night.
Unsettled may be the best term to describe the weather … Partly sunny today, with a high near 90. Mostly cloudy tonight, low in the 72 degree range. Tuesday, partly sunny, with a high in the low 90s.
Harvesting of crops may be hampered in the area for a few days … due to wet fields.

Chris Buescher and Brad Keselowski finished 1-2 in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 NASCAR race at Daytona Beach. The big crash saw Ryan Preece’s #41 flipped down the track, following a crash. He climbed out of the car and was taken to a nearby hospital. He posted a message later indicating “I’m coming back”.
