Senior Marcus Scarborough ran for 151 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead Harrells Christian Academy to a 34-6 non-conference football victory at Word of God Christian in Raleigh.
Senior Marcellos Allison rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for Harrells. Junior Tyshii Scarborough carried 6 times for 44 yards and scored the other Crusader touchdown.
The Harrells Christian offense racked up 357 yards rushing in the game. The Crusaders led 7-0 at the end of the first period and 21-0 at halftime. Harrells tacked on two more touchdowns in the final quarter.
Freshman Stancil Bowles converted on 4 of his 5 extra point kicks.
Tyshii Scarborough intercepted two Word of God passes to lead the Crusader defense. Senior Isaac Edgren recovered a fumble, and seniors Nathan Casteen and Cole Hardison led the team in tackles with 3 each.
Harrells Christian improved to 5-4 overall and will host Trinity Christian of Fayetteville Friday at 7 p.m.
