Hurricane Idalia has resulted in changes to Bladen County sports schedules and will close County Park.
Bladen County will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday and reopen Friday morning.
The East Bladen vs. Wilmington Ashley varsity football game has been moved to Saturday at 6 p.m. The game will be played at Hoggard High School. Admission $8, surcharge $1. No cash. Pay with Apple Pay or card. The game originally was scheduled to be played Friday.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the West Columbus at West Bladen varsity football game remains scheduled for Friday beginning at 7 p.m.
