In Bladen County stands a beloved culinary landmark: Giorgio’s Restaurant & Pizza. Since its inception in October 1990, this locally owned dining establishment has not only served up delectable dishes but also woven itself into the fabric of the community.
George Boussias, the heart behind this establishment, recalls his journey to Elizabethtown with a sense of destiny, “Something just captured me.” His initial venture in South Carolina didn’t pan out, leading him to explore other opportunities. Elizabethtown, the county seat of Bladen, ultimately called out to him, setting the stage for Giorgio’s inception.
From a young age, Mr. Boussias harbored a passion for the service industry. His foray into the restaurant world involved meticulous research, including consulting various chefs. His quest for perfection culminated in Giorgio’s renowned marinara sauce, a cornerstone of the restaurant’s acclaim. For Mr. Boussias, consistency in quality is not just a practice but a philosophy.
