East Bladen 62, Wallace-Rose Hill 35

Junior Lacey Suggs poured in 25 points to lead undefeated East Bladen to a 62-35 Four County Conference girls basketball victory at Wallace-Rose Hill Friday night.

Suggs drained a pair of 3-point shots and led the Lady Eagle defense with 7 steals. Junior teammate Christiana Cromartie tossed in 10 points and dished out 6 assists.

Senior Imani Turner-Dobson was a force inside for East Bladen scoring 8 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and blocking 5 shots. Senior Abbey Norris just missed a double-double with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

Junior guard Abby Ward drilled a 3-point shot and totaled 4 points, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners.

The Lady Eagles raced to a 20-6 first quarter lead and used a 14-8 surge in the second period to push the halftime lead to 34-14. East Bladen outscored the Lady Bulldogs 13-8 in the third quarter to pad the margin to 47-22.

Coach Patty Evers’ Lady Eagles are now 5-0 in the league and 15-0 overall. East Bladen will host Union Friday at 6 p.m.
