ST PAULS – St. Pauls rallied with 2 goals in the 2nd half to edge West Bladen 3-2 Friday night in Southeastern Athletic Conference girls’ soccer action.

West Bladen, now 1-4-1 in SAC play and 2-6-3 overall, will host East Bladen in a non-conference game Monday night. It was the 1st league win for St. Pauls, now 1-2 in the SAC and 4-10 overall.

Junior O’Mara McDonald and sophomore Leidi Zuniga Labra fired in 1st half goals as West Bladen built a 2-1 lead. Juniors Anna Campbell and Jazmy Funez Aranda assisted on the Lady Knight goals. Campbell also took 2 shots in the game.

Senior goalie Briana Carranza Toledo was credited with 2 saves for the Lady Knights. Funez Aranda and sophomore Makenna Thurman led the West defense with 4 steals each. Campbell, sophomore Faith Wren, and Zuniga Labra collected 3 steals each.
