ELIZABETHTOWN – Whiteville’s Wolfpack posted a team total of 342 to win Monday’s Waccamaw Conference golf match at Vineyard Golf by 22 strokes over South Columbus. East Bladen carded a 368 total to finish in 3rd place only 4 strokes behind South.

East Columbus placed 4th with a 387 total followed by West Columbus (401) and Heide Trask (427). It was the 8th consecutive Waccamaw golf match victory for the Wolfpack.

Whiteville’s Marc Rich captured medalist honors with a 79 that was 1 shot better than East Columbus’ Caden Carroll who shot an 80. Whiteville’s Price Wheatley shot an 81 to take 3rd place. East Bladen’s Tony Todd finished 4th with an 86. South Columbus’ Logan Hamilton was 5th with an 87, and Whiteville’s Colby Hooks placed 6th with a 90. East Bladen’s Connor Smith finished in a 4-way tie for 7th place with a 92.

Other East Bladen golfers competing were Peyton Tatum who shot a 94 and Zac Metz who recorded a 96.

Next week’s Waccamaw match will be at Diamondback Golf Club in Loris, SC.
