Accounting Assistant-White Lake, NC. Under general direction, performs a variety of accounting tasks in support of the finance operations of the Town. Work involves applying established accounting procedures and principles in a variety of specialized fiscal tasks such as payroll generation, payroll reporting, billing and reconciling miscellaneous accounts receivables, processing accounts payables, preparing bank deposits, reconciling general ledger accounts, generating a variety of financial reports, and performing related fiscal duties. Work is performed under supervision of the Administrative Services Director and is evaluated through conferences, accuracy and completeness of records and reports, and by independent audit of financial records. Must be knowledgeable in Excel, Microsoft, have good oral and written communication skills. Prefer at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience in governmental financial accounting.
This position is a part-time position scheduled to work 988 hours per year with a salary of $15,266 annually ($15.46 per hour)(Grade 13).
